Abstract:In many applications alloys with higher strength than Ti-6Al-4V ELI and a similar level of fracture toughness and similar fatigue crack growth behavior are desirable. To achieve an excellent combination of high strength and good fracture toughness, a new two-phase titanium alloy based on Ti-Al-Mo-Cr-Sn-X was developed. The precipitation of 2 phase after various heattreatment was investigated, and its influence on the strength and toughness was discussed. Basketweave and equiaxed microstructures were respective… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
