Abstract:A number of new heterocyclic compounds derived from vanillin dimer chalcones were prepared by Claisen–Schmidt Condensation using a microwave as a heat source in base medium as a catalyst. The structures and suggestion mechanisms of reaction of the new products were atrubuted to elementary and spectroscopic analysis.
