Microwave chirped delay effect based on substrate thickness modulation

Abstract: This paper deals the generation of chirped delay (CD) effect in microwave regime. For the purpose of achieving reflection dispersion, electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structures with different rejection frequency are fabricated in different position by modulating the thickness of substrate. Microwave with different frequency will be reflected in different position, so non-flat reflected group delays responses can be obtained.
