Microwave Solid‐State Devices

Abstract: This article presents an overview of the solid‐state devices that are now being used in telecommunication systems. We discuss several families of microwave and millimeter‐wave diodes and transistors. For each device type, we briefly describe the physical operation, discuss the properties and frequency limitations, and outline the main application areas.
