Abstract: Background: Volvulus, a condition where the intestines twist upon themselves, is a serious surgical emergency that commonly affects children. Midgut volvulus is frequently caused by congenital malrotation, a developmental anomaly where the intestines fail to rotate and fixate properly during fetal development.
