The research was carried out to determine the vocational motivation levels and professional motivation profiles of the students studying in nursing students. The research sample is 361 students in two foundation higher education institution in Istanbul. K-means analysis was used to determine the professional motivation profiles of the students. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that the students had a high intrinsic and extrinsic motivation level. In addition, students' negative motivation levels are low. It has been determined that the students have three different profiles regarding their professional motivation. As a result of the research, it was determined that most of the students had a positive professional motivation profile. A very small proportion of the students took part in a low professional motivation profile. Negative motivation level is negatively and at low level correlated with intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The findings obtained as a result of the research are important in terms of the future planning of the students and the development of vocational education.
