Military Training Devices

Abstract: Part 1 of the paper describes the problem of increasing demands on skill and the different training approaches which have been tried to solve this problem. Uses of operational equipment, simulators and classroom devices are listed together with some disadvantages of these approaches. The development of microcomputer-based instructional simulators is discussed and some recent endeavours in this field are mentioned.
