Abstract:An irregular burning phenomenon arises in some solid propellant motors(SRM), where the time-averaged pressure differs largely from that dedicated by instantaneous area burning. This phenomenon is generally considered the result of the interaction of pressure disturbances within the motor cavity with solid propellant deflagration. Hence, it is a combustion-dependent acoustic phenomenon. Historically, different suppression devices included the classical resonance rods and paddles, and arrays of acoustic resonato… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
