Abstract: The diagnosis of mitral valve prolapse (MVP) still lacks a rigorous definition by standard criteria which take into account the complete set of investigative methods available. We did a comparative study of noninvasive methods, including our technique of quantitative esophageal phonocardiography (ePCG).
