Abstract:The paper deals with mixed boundary value problems in an elastic half‐plane with cubic symmetry. The formulation of the problem depends on an asymptotic model derived for anisotropic materials. It is demonstrated that defining the displacements in terms of a pair of plane harmonic functions reduces the problem to a classical isotropic form, which can be formulated within the framework of the asymptotic hyperbolic–elliptic model developed for isotropic materials. As an example, a semi‐infinite rigid stamp movin… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
