Mixed probabilistic and interval optimal power flow considering uncertain wind power and dispatchable load

Abstract: Considering uncertain wind power and dispatchable load, a mixed probabilistic and interval optimal power flow model is proposed, and Monte Carlo sampling and affine arithmetic method are used to solve it. First, an uncertain optimal power flow model with mixed probabilistic variables and interval variables is established by expressing the uncertain dispatchable load as the interval model and the uncertain wind speed and node load as the probabilistic model. Then Monte Carlo sampling is used to sample the proba… Show more

“…The authors of the reference paper [51] stated that our solution method is more reliable, efficient, and robust than the other techniques. In paper [52], a mixed probabilistic and interval OPF method was used, and it has been presented that the proposed algorithm has the advantage of high solution efficiency. DEEPSO algorithm is applied to the OPF solution [55], and the Wilcoxon signed‐rank validation was conducted to show the supremacy, effectiveness, and robustness of the proposed technique.…”

“…In this study, the minimum fuel cost of the system is taken as the objective function, and the GA is used to calculate the POPF (Guo et al, 2018;Lin et al, 2019), which can take into account the correlation between PV output and load, to optimize the operation status of the power system. Optimal power flow model is composed of objective function and power system constraints, in which power system constraints can be divided into equality constraints and inequality constraints.…”
