“…The deuterated sample of iron fluoridotinanate (DITF) with the idealized formula FeTiF6·6normalD2normalO was produced by triple recrystallization of hydrated iron fluoridotinanate (HITF) from heavy water (99.8% D 2 O). The synthesis of the initial HITF was described in our previous publication, [19] and the real composition of the crystals corresponded to the formula Fe 0.9 Ti 1.1 (OH) 0.5 F 5.7·5.8H2normalO [20] ; 80 g of these crystals and 60 ml of heavy water were placed in a Teflon tube with a tightly closed stopper and heated in a beaker with boiling water to completely dissolve the crystals. After that, the solution was cooled in a refrigerator, and the crystals weighing about 40 g precipitated and were filtered in a dry box filled with argon.…”
