Ωb(Ξc+K)π

Abstract: We study the weak decay Ω − b → ðΞ þ c K − Þπ − , in view of the narrow Ω c states recently measured by the LHCb Collaboration and later confirmed by the Belle Collaboration. The Ω c ð3050Þ and Ω c ð3090Þ are described as meson-baryon molecular states, using an extension of the local hidden gauge approach in coupled channels. We investigate the ΞD, Ξ cK , and Ξ 0 cK invariant mass distributions making predictions that could be confronted with future experiments, providing useful information that could help det… Show more

“…The possible interpretation of some of the Ω c states seen at CERN as being quasi-bound meson-baryon systems has been addressed in several other works [17][18][19][20], as well as the prediction of analogous states in the bottom sector [21], finding results which are similar to the ones in our work [16] and indicating that one cannot ignore the meson-baryon description when trying to understand the nature of these excited heavy baryons.…”

“…Additionally, the and resonances are good candidates for the -wave -mode singly bottom baryons [16, 41-44, 48-51, 53, 62]. Finally, some unconventional interpretations, such as molecular or pentaquark, were also proposed in the literature for the newly observed resonances, [63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74], [75], [76,77], and [78][79][80][81]. As a whole, a fairly complete -mode -wave spectrum in the , , , , and families may be established with discovery of the series of heavy baryons at the LHC.…”
