ZandZdecays with and without FCNC in 331 models

Abstract: In the context of the 331 models, we consider constraints on the extra neutral boson Z ′ predicted by the model, where three different quark family assignments are identified. Using the ansatz of Matsuda as an specific texture for the quark mass matrices, we obtain allowed regions associated with the Z-Z' mixing angle, the mass of the Z ′ boson and the parameter β which determines different 331 models. The Z 1 and Z 2 decays with and without flavor changing are also considered. The flavor changing decays of th… Show more

“…Indeed, if one puts |(λ 3 ω 2 )/(16π 2 v)| = v and takes |λ 3 | ∼ 0.1 − 1, then ω ∼ 3 − 10 TeV as expected in the constraints [9,18]. The resulting Dirac-mass matrix which is combined of (20) and (52) therefore gets two typical examples of the bounds:…”

“…conserve L, this means that the operator (17) cannot be induced mediated by the model particles. As a fact, the economical 3-3-1 model including the alternative versions [4,5] are only extensions beyond the SM in the scales of orders of TeV [9,18]. Such processes are therefore expected mediated by heavy particles of an underlined new physics at a scale M much greater than ω which have been followed in various of grand unified theories (GUTs) [17,19,20].…”

“…The procedure to cancel model anomalies imposes that quark families must be assigned to different SU(3) representation [29]. We elect the left component of the first quark family to be accommodated in SU(3) L triplet and the second and third families (m = 2, 3) to belong to the antitriplet representation, as follows:…”
