Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the nomophobia levels and affecting factors of first-year students studying in the elderly care program of a vocational school of health services. The sample of descriptive study consisted of first-year students (n=59) enrolled in the elderly care program of a university. Data were collected using the “Individual Information Form” and the “Nomophobia Scale (NMP-Q)”. The mean age of the students participating in the study was found to be 19.64±1.36, and 69.5% (n=41) were female. The NMP-Q Total Score was found to be 82.0±35.0, and it was determined that the students participating in the study had moderate nomophobia.
