The potential and use of mobile devices in higher education has been a key issue for educational research and practice since the widespread adoption of these devices. Due to the evolving nature and affordances of mobile technologies, it is an area that requires ongoing investigation. This study aims to identify emerging trends in mobile learning research in higher education in order to provide insights for researchers and educators around research topics and issues for further exploration. This study analysed the research themes, methods, settings, and technologies in mobile learning research in higher education from 2011 to 2015. A total of 233 refereed articles were selected and analysed from peer reviewed journals. The results were compared to three previous literature review-based research studies focused between 2001 and 2010 to identify similarities and differences. Key findings indicated that: (a) mobile learning in higher education is a growing field as evidenced by the increasing variety of research topics, methods, and researchers; (b) the most common research topic continues to be about enabling m-learning applications and systems; and (c) mobile phones continue to be the most widely used devices in mobile learning studies, however, more and more studies work across different devices, rather than focusing on specific devices.

Cloud computing is one of those technologies which have revolutionized the modern world. Through this, people can start their businesses without huge investments required for infrastructure like servers, technical staff for maintenance, and purchasing of expensive software, etc. With many advantages, there are few risks involved with cloud computing. There are issues like unavailability of service, i.e., they are down when required. Another issue is of outdated service/stuff provision to the clients by the cloud service providers. Similarly, lacking of effective and quality support services to their customers is another important concern. Moreover, non-capability of cloud B Moneeb Gohar 123 S. Jabbar et al.service provider in honoring the service level agreement is an additional prong in this list. All such issues make cloud service users frustrated. Hence, there is a need of a system which may help the cloud service user to select good cloud service provider. Hence, for the above mentioned issues, in this article, we have proposed a model which will help the cloud service users in finding out the efficient and trustworthy cloud service provider. In put data to the model can be collected from regulatory authorities, performance of cloud service provider in the last one year, and feedback taken from the customers. Moreover, the proposed model is flexible enough to be customized according to the precedence level of aforementioned parameters for the cloud service users, i.e., educational institutes. We have also given a comparative analysis of proposed model with general existing model to portray the importance and requirement of the designed model for the said application domain.

Resumo: M-learning é um processo de aprendizado apoiado pelo uso de tecnologias móveis e sem fio, em que a mobilidade dos aprendizes é o aspecto central. Este artigo buscou identificar se os alunos de graduação de um curso de Administração utilizam dispositivos móveis para o seu desenvolvimento, por iniciativa individual ou corporativa. Foi realizada uma survey com 141 respondentes. Os resultados mostram que esta utilização ainda está incipiente. Dentre as principais barreiras que dificultam o uso dos dispositivos móveis, foram citadas: indisponibilidade dos serviços, medo de roubo e elevado custo dos equipamentos móveis e da conexão de dados. LEVEL OF USE OF M-LEARNING (MOBILE LEARNING) BY UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: A SURVEYAbstract: M-learning is a learning process supported by the use of mobile and wireless technologies, where the mobility of the learners plays a key role. This article aimed to identify if the undergraduate students from Business Administration course use mobile devices for their development, whether because of individual or corporate initiative. A survey was performed with 141 respondents. Results show that this use is still incipient. The main barriers that challenge the use of mobile devices cited were: services being unavailable, fear of being robbed, and high cost of mobile equipment and data connection.
