“…In this article, we use the Roodman (2009bRoodman ( , 2009a) empirical strategy. This estimation approach-which is an extension of Arellano and Bover (1995)is adopted because, when compared with traditional empirical approaches (systems and difference GMM techniques), it decreases overidentification (or the proliferation of instruments) and accounts for cross-sectional dependence (Asongu and Nwachukwu 2016b;Baltagi 2008;Boateng et al 2018;Love and Zicchino 2006;Tchamyou 2018Tchamyou , 2019Tchamyou and Asongu 2017).…”

“…Our ICT dependent variables are internet penetration and mobile penetration rates. (Anand et al, 2012;Mlachila et al, 2014;Asongu & Nwachukwu, 2016a). Their expected signs are discussed concurrently with the presentation of results.…”

“…Here too the literature is vast (see, e.g.., Anand et al, 2012;Mlachila et al, 2014;Asongu & Nwachukwu, 2016a). In a recent paper Livramento and Foray (2007), development is represented by "high growth entrepreneurship," which is driven by trade-related intellectual property rights (TRIPS).…”
