Mobile Schwannoma of the Cauda Equina Diagnosed by Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Magnetic Resonance Myelography: A Case Report and Review of the Literatures

Abstract: Here we report a 65-year-old man with a mobile intradural extramedullary schwannoma of the cauda equina. Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated mobility of the tumor. Preoperative magnetic resonance myelography showed that tumor migration did not occur continuously. It occurred suddenly instead. With spinous process splitting laminectomy, the tumor was successfully removed.
