Model Based Enterprise Modeling for Testing PLM Interoperability in Dynamic Manufacturing Network

Abstract: When willing to prepare and to build operational Product Life cycle Management interoperability within a Dynamic Manufacturing Network (DMN) in a mature digital business ecosystem such as Aeronautic, Space and Defense, the approaches proposed by the Enterprise Application Interoperability are insufficient when willing to address the existing interoperability brakes Some of these brakes have been addressed in project such as IMAGINE and SIP@SystemX, allowing to experiment innovative way of using standards based… Show more

“…Typically, the knowledge-based manufacturing reference architecture for collaborative production control [ 15 ], the Cloud Computing and Internet of Things–based Cloud Manufacturing (CCIoT-CMfg) service model integrating IoT and cloud computing for on-demand use and resources sharing [ 16 ], and ARUM system for adaptive and responsive manufacturing [ 14 ] are exemplar applications. In addition, a product lifecycle management (PLM) interoperability framework is proposed for collaborative product development by modelling of enterprise, business and information system [ 17 ]. A service-oriented architecture model is defined for coordinating execution of distributed automatic system management [ 18 ].…”

“…The majority of the literature on integration focuses on a specific type of integration in the context of an application functionality, e.g., data integration in the context of ERP and MES (i.e., data integration in transactional systems) (Moones et al, 2015), or integration between document management systems (Figay et al, 2015). We currently lack a systematic analysis of integrations from the perspective of the underlying technology of the applications.…”
