Model Independent QED Corrections to the Processep → eX

Abstract: We give an exhaustive presentation of the semi-analytical approach to the model independent leptonic QED corrections to deep inelastic neutral current lepton-nucleon scattering. These corrections include photonic bremsstrahlung from and vertex corrections to the lepton current of the order O(α) with soft photon exponentiation. A common treatment of these radiative corrections in several variablesleptonic, hadronic, mixed, Jaquet-Blondel variables -has been developed and double differential cross sections are c… Show more

“…Previously, this approach was applied for the calculation of RC for inclusive [4,5,6], semi-inclusive [7,8] and exclusive diffractive [9] reactions. Recent reviews of the approach, higher order effects and calculation for specific experiments can be found in papers [10,11,12]. Based on these results, a Fortran code POLRAD [13] for RC calculation in polarized inclusive and semi-inclusive processes was devel-oped.…”

“…The correction is largest for low Q 2 data and can reach 0.55 at high z. The (x, y) dependent radiative corrections are calculated using the programme TERAD [3].…”
