Modeling and Analysis of Ship Repairing Time

Abstract: Management located in Mamonal facilities; in order to know the percentage of idle times in performed productive processes and to identify the main triggers, through the estimation of the proportion of time played in specifics activities in a certain period of time, using instantaneous observations of work areas and employing probability sampling to generalize the findings. El presente artículo está orientado a la implementación de la técnica del muestreo de trabajo en la Corporación de Ciencia y Tecnología par… Show more

“…These works can be fine-tuned with a larger sample size. A multiple linear regression model may then be considered to develop a mathematical model (Dev & Saha 2015, 2016) that will be able to predict the expected hull coating repairing works concerning ships' age, deadweight, type, and other potential variables, if any.…”

“…In order to establish the relationship between modes and failure-free times (min), historical data are collected both for dependent (failure-free time) and independent variables (health conditions of the pump). Multiple linear regression analysis is adopted from [ 32 ] to identify the mathematical relationship between modes and failure-free times. A multiple linear regression analysis is performed for maintenance time estimation in [ 36 ].…”

“…The cargo containment system of LNGCs is not used during operation due to exitance of LNG and its vapor in the containment system. A regular dry docking period is the best opportunity for maintenance of the LNG containment systems after inerting, warming up, and aerating of the containment system have been completed at a service shipyard [16,17]. LNGC dock specifications are documents that contain lists of severe and important ship maintenance tasks, including LNG containment maintenance orders during dry docking.…”
