Modeling and Design Optimization of Energy Transfer Rate for Hybrid Energy Storage System in Electromagnetic Launch

Abstract: The battery-pulse capacitor-based hybrid energy storage system has the advantage of high-energy density and high-power density. However, to achieve a higher firing rate of the electromagnetic launch, a shorter charging time of the pulse capacitor from the battery is needed.
