Modeling and H Control of Active-Passive Vibration Isolation for Floating Raft System

Abstract: This paper presents a new approach for constructing a mathematical model of the floating raft system directly from input-output measurements in the presence of noise. In contrast to the original OKID/ERA algorithm, which works through the observer Markov parameters, the new approach used observer output residuals to convert the initial stochastic identification to a virtually deterministic identification problem. The extension of deterministic algorithm to stochastic problems by proposed stochastic-to-determin… Show more

“…It performs well in suppressing specific frequencies and frequency fluctuation disturbances while being robust, rendering it suitable as a hybrid vibration absorber controller. 1,[19][20][21][22] In this study, an EHVA with double-ring series permanent magnetic circuit structure based on an improved Halbach array was designed to control the vibration of marine two-stage vibration isolation system. The EHVA can produce Lorentz force and eddy current damping, and has good engineering feasibility and output performance.…”

“…The two-stage vibration isolation system exhibits effective inhibition in high-frequency but cannot inhibit vibrations lower than its second-order natural frequency. 1 The exciting force generated by marine power machinery can be made equivalent to the fluctuating disturbance of small frequency range and random impact disturbance. This necessitates a vibration isolation system such that wide-band vibration attenuation performance can be achieved.…”

“…20 In another study, an adaptive control approach was developed for a flexible-jointed robot faced with random disturbances 21 Moreover, a stochastic model and an H∞-robust method were presented to handle the noise in the input–output measurements of a floating raft. 22 However, these methods only consider the random vibration in the input channels (external disturbances). Another study 23 was conducted to investigate a symbolic and numeric scheme to solve linear differential equations with random parameter uncertainties.…”

“…Vibration isolation has been of great interest in the academic and industrial areas of lithography machines [1], high-precision measuring instruments [2], [3], automobiles [4], [5], aerospace [6], [7], civil structures [8], and floating raft [9], [10]. Passive vibration isolation systems, such as springs, are often sufficient for high-frequency isolation in many applications [11].…”
