Modeling and simulation of high power open end winding based electromechanical actuator for aerospace applications

Abstract: The paper proposes an open end winding PMSM based electromechanical actuator for altitude control through Thrust Vector Control. The open end winding configuration has the inherent advantage of applying the voltage directly to the phase thus enabling reduced voltage operation.
