Modeling and simulation of the electromagnetic properties of composites filled by carbon nanotubes

Abstract: Low volume percentages of carbon nanotubes are added in insulating resins in order to obtain new lightweight and conductive nanocomposites with improved electromagnetic performances. The properties of such composites are investigated by means of a 3D model in the J-band (5.38-8.18 GHz), X-band (8.2-12.4 GHz) and P­band (12.4-18 GHz) and the numerical data are validated with experimental results.
