Abstract:This paper brings forward the modeling and finite-element analysis (FEA) method of pipeline dent based on geometric inline-inspection (ILI) data firstly. This method could be used in pipeline integrity assessment with the view of 3D visualization and true strain of a dent after the running of a geometric ILI.
