Modeling continuous improvement evolution in the service sector

Abstract: This paper focuses on how service-based organisations establish and sustain incremental performance improvement. A review of existing continuous improvement (CI) evolution theory provides a model for comparison with the observations from the case study organisation. The research employs a longitudinal, embedded case study, involving two units of analysis and multiple research cycles.
