Electromagnetic transient (EMT) modeling for the modularized solid-state transformer (MSST) faces critical difficulties because the dynamics of the complex-structured submodules, which contain dual active bridges (DAB) and multiple active bridges (MAB), are hard to be described in analytical formulas. Existing models have problems of a narrow dynamic frequency band, insufficient simulation accuracy, or are unable to operate under fast transients. This paper proposes a parallel simulation framework for MSST that preserves the original model's broadband characteristics and remarkably improves the simulation efficiency. The main novelty towards previous work is the detailed modeling of the multi-winding transformer, the decoupled modeling of the submodules, and the parallel design of simulation processes. Finally, the proposed framework is verified through the accuracy and efficiency analysis carried out in PSCAD/EMTDC. The simulation results verify that the proposed framework has excellent accuracy and time efficiency. INTRODUCTION OLID-state transformer (SST), also called as power electronic transformer (PET), can interconnect systems with different voltage levels and achieve multi-directional power flow control [1]-[4]. Due to the modular design, the modularized SST (MSST) can be used in high voltage and high power applications [5], [6]. MSST would be effective equipment to link the transmission system and distribution network [7]-[9]. The multiple active bridge (MAB)-based MSST has higher power density, less transformers and submodules, and higher flexibility than the dual active bridge (DAB)-based MSST. Intensive studies of the topology and control sheme of MABbased MSST have been made in recent years [10]. This paper proposes an improved series of a revolutionary mirror-symmetrical dual-output non-isolated dc-dc converter using the voltage lift approach. Its unique design offers a series of improvements that set it apart from traditional converters. The converter's basic architecture allows for substantial voltage transfer gains when converting dc-dc voltage, not just from positive to positive, but also from positive to negative. This flexibility sets it apart from other dual-output dc-dc converters currently available on the market.A key advantage of this converter is its simplicity. All suggested topologies employ a single power switch, eliminating the need for transformers or cascade connections. This simplicity could make it an attractive option for future practical applications. The shared ground design ensures more dependable dual-output voltages, further enhancing the converter's reliability.The theoretical foundation of this converter is rock solid, with a thorough topology analysis conducted for both discontinuous and continuous conduction modes. This analysis provides a solid foundation for understanding the converter's operation and its potential for real-world applications.To validate the suggested topologies, experimental results and simulations are presented. These results demonstrate the converter's effectiveness and confirm its theoretical advantages. They also highlight its adaptability to different operating conditions, making it a versatile solution for a range of dc-dc voltage conversion needs.

The nearest level modulation (NLM) is used to automatically generate ac side voltages of sub‐modules in modular multilevel converter (MMC). Existing literature seldom presents models that describe complex NLM processes. This paper proposes an equivalent model of the NLM to simply describe and simulate the complex NLM process. The main contribution of this study is to build the model of NLM with fast simulation speed for the application focuses on the simulation accuracy at the millisecond level. The duty cycle of the average model generated by the NLM in sub‐modules of the MMC is divided into two components, which are the stable component for generating the bridge arm voltage and the fluctuation component for balancing the dc side voltage of sub‐modules, respectively. The stable component is generated by the modulation wave of the MMC control system. By adding a voltage control closed loop to the sub‐module, the fluctuation component for balancing the dc side voltages of sub‐modules can automatically adjust the ac side voltages of sub‐modules. The proposed equivalent model of NLM improves the simulation speed and has the same effect with the traditional NLM within the low‐frequency range or with the time step of millisecond level.
