Abstract:<p>In this study, we introduce an enhanced stochastic model for mosquito-borne diseases that incorporates quarantine measures and employs Lévy jumps with the generalized tempered stable (GTS) distribution. Our proposed model lacks both endemic and disease-free states, rendering the conventional approach of assessing disease persistence or extinction based on asymptotic behavior inapplicable. Instead, we adopt a novel stochastic analysis approach to demonstrate the potential for disease eradication or con… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
