Abstract:This paper presents an analytical model of an asymmetric quantum well infrared photodetector (AQWIP). The process of electron diffusion is neglected while developing this model. The effects of variation of barrier width, doping and temperature on dark current, photocurrent and noise are evaluated. The circuit model for AQWIP is developed to study the performance of the device, taking into consideration the bias dependence of the dark current, photocurrent and noise. The performance is evaluated by obtaining th… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
