Modeling research of city bus fuel consumption for different driving cycles

Abstract: Simulation studies can be used to determine the fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions of city buses. The operating conditions of such vehicles are characterised by a very high variability of vehicle speed due to the large number of stops along the route of the bus. During vehicle testing, driving cycles are used to replicate the real-world conditions and to achieve repeatable test conditions.
