Abstract:This study uses a sigmoidal function to describe the plastic strain hardening of metallic materials, considering temperature and strain rate effects. The effectiveness of this approach is evaluated and systematically compared with other hardening laws. Incorporating temperature and strain rate effects into the parameters of this sigmoidal-type hardening law enables a more precise description and prediction of the plastic deformation of materials under different combinations of temperature and strain rate.
