“…Computer‐based training systems can be used to help SPs portray their cases . Automated collection and analysis of performance data, including data obtained from manikins and part‐task trainers equipped with sensors, are routine at many educational institutions . With online assessment systems, through which automated scoring can be implemented, students can receive instant feedback and tutors/preceptors can monitor progress .…”

“…44 Automated collection and analysis of performance data, including data obtained from manikins and part-task trainers equipped with sensors, are routine at many educational institutions. 45 With online assessment systems, through which automated scoring can be implemented, students can receive instant feedback and tutors/preceptors can monitor progress. 46 The application of artificial intelligence (AI), either for scoring written exercises or for automating the assessment of procedural, communication (via facial recognition or linguistic analysis) or history taking (speech to text) skills, has the potential to eliminate the need for human ratings, something that would decrease assessment costs.…”

“…Another line of work uses CV to recognize distinct phases of surgery during operations, towards developing context-aware computer assistance systems 126 , 127 . CV is also starting to emerge in open surgery settings 128 , of which there is a significant volume. The challenge here lies in the diversity of video capture viewpoints (e.g., head-mounted, side-view, and overhead cameras) and types of surgeries.…”

“…Hier gilt das Prinzip -je mehr Input und Information der Computer bekommt, desto besser kann er sie interpretieren und später anwenden. Beim Knoten kann der Computeralgorithmus mittlerweile die Bewertungen der Bewegungsökonomie oder Gewebehandhabung konsistent prognostizieren und war in Studien bereits objektiver und zuverlässiger als die Einzelbewertung durch chirurgische Experten [44,45]. Auch komplexere Aufnahmen werden von Computer Vision erfasst.…”
