Modeling the Composition of III–V Ternary Nanowires with Group V Depletion
Vladimir G. Dubrovskii
Abstract:It is well documented that the concentrations of highly volatile group V atoms in liquid droplets catalyzing the vapor−liquid−solid growth of III−V nanowires decrease in the quasi-instantaneous process of monolayer progression and can even drop to equilibrium at a stopping size. This effect has farreaching implications in the nanowire morphology, crystal phase, and nucleation statistics but was never considered in the compositional modeling of ternary nanowires. Here, we present the first attempt of such model… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
