Modelling and Simulation of Human Decision-Making in Manufacturing Systems

Abstract: The simulation of manufacturing processes mainly focuses on the structure of machinery resources and the flow of material, but the inclusion of the personnel in the simulation model is only slowly gaining in importance. When personnel resources are modelled, merely the operative tasks are represented. However, as a result of modern manufacturing concepts, worker decisions at a workshop level are becoming more and more important. This article deals with various concepts for the modelling of human decisions in m… Show more

“…Although recent approaches of artificial intelligence [9] make use of certain concepts of human information processing, the human itself as an autonomous subject and the dynamic interaction of such subjects has not yet been addressed. Also other sophisticated approaches like the person oriented simulation [10], the analysis of decision systems [11], the integration of human performance models (circadian rhythm) in simulation tools [12] or learning-capable and communicative agents in socio-cultural processes [13] have not been able to fill the gap.…”

“…Last but not least, OSim has already proven its applicability in many simulation studies (e.g. see Bogus 2002, Fischer 2004, Zu¨lch 2006, Zu¨lch et al 2007, Bo¨rkircher and Zu¨lch 2011.…”

“…Отличительной особенностью предлагаемой модели от реляционной является то, что данные хранятся не в виде таблиц, а формируются в виде иерархических и сетевых структур, и источником данных являются показатели бизнес-процессов (БП). БП определяют порядок и регламент использования приложений ИИС [15][16][17].…”
