Abstract:The Eulerian-Lagrangian approach is widely employed for spray simulations in various applications ranging from transportation systems to environmental flows. Traditional implementations of this technique are based on the assumption that the liquid droplets are spherical. This assumption is unphysical for several applications that droplets vary in shapes. The droplet shape and more specifically the droplet surface affects phenomena like evaporation and drag and consequently the droplet dynamics. Eulerian-Lagran… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
