Abstract:Investigation of the ductile damage in single point incremental forming (SPIF) is necessary for improving the formability during the manufacturing process. In this paper, an enhanced Continuum Damage Mechanics (CDM) model was applied for ductile damage prediction in SPIF process. In particular, the stress state dependence was considered in the damage evolution to improve fracture prediction capability at various loading paths. The enhanced CDM model was implemented into finite element code ABAQUS/Explicit thro… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
