Abstract:Fluorescence (smTIRF) Microscopy. Contrary to the canonical theory, we determined the R5L mutation does not reduce Tau affinity for the microtubule. Rather, the R5L mutation reduces the total amount of Tau bound to the microtubule at saturating conditions.
