Models on Teaching Effectiveness in Current Scientific Literature

Abstract: Knowing what defines ‘effective teaching’ contributes significantly to the appropriateness and validity of the instruction provided to pre-service teachers during their initial training. This may help them to perform as expert teachers before finishing their university training. This study aims to reflect upon the most significant models and theoretical contributions of each of the five most common methods for investigating teaching effectiveness in the current scientific literature. To that end, the main scie… Show more

“…This entails that, apart from an individual assessment, the assessment also allows the identification of broader problems that can ultimately lead to the improvement of education systems. Evaluation has, thus, extended beyond learning to be used for teaching and the operation of education centers [21]. All the dimensions of the educational process are now subject to assessment [22][23][24].…”

“…To disrupt this learned pattern of negative interactions in children, caregivers can be trained to not only change their professional vision of classroom management [ 9 ] but also to reshape their own behaviors and emotional reactions while managing the classroom [ 10 ]. These types of shifts in caregivers’ beliefs and behaviors are essential to increase positive interactions with their children as well as improve their overall teaching effectiveness [ 11 ]. Research supports behavioral parent training programs designed to prevent and treat undesired behavior in preschool and younger elementary students.…”

“…This means that teachers must be fully aware if the current learning steps taken in the learning process have not shown satisfactory results, hence it is necessary to design innovative and futuristic models, since the learning model can also be interpreted as an approach to deal adaptively and generatively with changes in student behavior (Alsarayreh, 2021;Bahri et al, 2021). Furthermore, a learning model can also assist students in attaining learning objectives (Sánchez-Cabrero et al, 2021;Tamur et al, 2021). The teachers' skills to develop learning models implies that they are also required to have literacy skills, as Kosasih et al (2021) and Taja et al (2021) studied how teacher learning is researched and propose or discuss models of teacher professional learning.…”
