Modern Concepts of Rehabilitation in the Three Services

Abstract: The Service Rehabilitation Units were originally developed to provide intensive treatment for patients with orthopedic disabilities (Wynn Parry 1970). In recent years it has become clear that all types of disorder of the locomotor system may benefit from such centres which offer a wide range of treatment including specialized physiotherapy, occupational therapy, games and hydrotherapy and facilities for assessment of disabilities and vocational guidance.
