Abstract: SummaryMerkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a rare, aggressive skin cancer with epithelial and neuroendocrine differentiation, the incidence of which has increased substantially during the most recent decades. Risk factors include advanced age, fair skin type, UV exposure, and immunosuppression.
