Abstract:Recent identification of new human muscle glycogen phosphorylation sites has renewed interest in understanding human variations in the regulation of glycogen metabolism and glucose homeostasis. This paper presents a detailed method for the measurement of glycogen phosphorylase (GPh) activity in skeletal muscle.
