Abstract:The article examines the models characteristic of modern political governance in Russian regions. The authors proceed from the fact that the key subjects of the management process are governors, each of whom chooses a certain positioning model and builds his own image based on this. It is concluded that the regional management model today is more often determined by the subjective qualities of the head than by the objective circumstances of the existence of the region.
