Modern war: the transformation of meaning in an era of information technologies

Abstract

The influence of information technologies on changing the image of modern war is analyzed. It is substantiated that the spiritual sphere of society's life, which includes the formation and functioning of value priorities, ideals, views and beliefs, is today a special theater of war, within the framework of which battles are fought for the consciousness of individuals. It is proven that the information war in the broadest sense of this concept is gaining special significance today. Information technologies, which are constantly developing and improving, level the borders between states in virtual space and provide incredible opportunities for achieving the goals of modern warfare.
