Modernization of Automatic Excitation Control Systems of Generators in Syrdarya TPP

Abstract

For reliable operation of electrical systems, it is necessary to ensure the stability of parallel operation of power plants and power systems. Violation of their stability leads to the repayment of a large number of electricity consumers, equipment damage and other negative consequences. Excitation systems can improve the quality of voltage control during sudden fluctuations in the load and with a short circuit at the output of synchronous generators. The aim of this work is to verify the automatic excitation controllers installed during the modernization process on the generators of the Syrdarya TPP in the DISILENT power factory software package. The article presents the results of a study in which the effect of the installed system of automatic control of excitation in the process of modernization on the quality of transient indicators is analyzed. Transient analysis showed an improvement in transient quality indicators such as decay time, overregulation and static error.
