Modification of Carbon Black by Laser Irradiation

Abstract: The effect of modification of Cabot Corporation SPHERON 5000 carbon black suspended in bi-distilled water by laser irradiation (CuBr2 laser with fundamental wavelength of λ = 511nm and 2 kHz repetition rate) has been studied. The carbon black suspensions were prepared by mixing 0.10 g carbon black previously treated with acetone in 100 ml bi-distilled water.
