“…These cell wall components provide binding and adsorption sites for heavy metals before crossing the cell membrane leading to less plant heavy metal accumulation in the cytoplasm [18,29,[31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38]. Previous experiments indicate that the content of total sugars and uronic acid in the PE and HE of the cell wall increase significantly under Al and Cu stress [24,39], and an experiment found that high lead ion stress impacts the homogalacturonan content of the uronic acid in Helianthus annuus L. root zones [40]. Xylogalacturonan from pectic uronic acid was proven to exert a vital role in increasing the Cd tolerance of Medicago sativa [38].…”

“…More sucrose and maltose may improve strain’s ability to dissolve phosphorus in the environment ( Mukhtar et al, 2017 ). Pectin is a component in the plant cell wall ( Chudzik et al, 2018 ). It also can be found in secretions of rhizosphere and utilized by rhizobacteria ( Li et al, 2012 ).…”

“…For the histiocyte labeling of pectin, cellulose, and lignin, the paraffin sections of juice sacs were prepared according to the protocol of Li et al (2017) with slight modifications. The pectin was labeled by immunofluorescence staining with JIM5 and JIM7 (Plant Probes, Leeds, United Kingdom) for the labeling of low-methylesterified pectin and high-methylesterified pectin, respectively, according to the method of Chudzik et al (2018) with slight modification. The cellulose was stained with Calcofluor White (Coolaber, Beijing, China) according to the manufacturers’ instructions and observed in the excitation wavelength of 405 nm.…”
