Abstract:Field‐oriented control (FOC) has been broadly used as an accurate control method for electric drives. The traditional FOC approach has been effectively developed to 3‐phase induction motor (3φ IM) drive systems in recent decades. Despite the usefulness of FOC methods during normal condition, these strategies are unable to control a wye‐connected 3φ IM (3φ IMy) under the stator winding open circuit fault (SWOCF). This paper discusses modified indirect rotor FOC (FOCIR) strategies for 3φ IMy drives under the SWO… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
