Abstract:A modified multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) is proposed to accelerate the partial matrix vector products required in each iteration of the buffered block forward backward method (BBFB), which is a stationary iterative solver used to solve electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering problems. Applying the standard MLFMA to the computation of the partial matrix vector products results in significant redundancy, causing a loss of efficiency of the stationary method. The efficiency can be regained b… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
