Abstract:The conventional meshless local Petrov–Galerkin method is modified to enable the method to solve turbulent convection heat transfer problems. The modifications include developing a new computer code which empowers the method to adopt nonlinear equations. A source term expressed in terms of turbulent viscosity gradients is appended to the code to optimize the accuracy for turbulent flow domains. The standard [Formula: see text] transport equations, one of the most applicable two equation turbulent viscosity mod… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
